I'm a DesigNerd. A motion grapher, multidisciplinary UI designer & engineer

Bea Cabrera
THAT WOULD BE ME
— And this is my story —

I'm a freelance problem solver and self-taught story teller with a passion for big cities, cinema + pop culture and a weakness for the smell of freshly ground coffee. I have been taught to good design and to make it, to solve complex math and to code efficiently. Being a DesigNerd, I understand the process of every step taken, serving as a nexus between developers and designers and a one-stop shop for your ideas.

A project about Space and Time
To transfer time coded strips of video footage (i.e. a filmstrip), into a space again.

The process was to project footage with a UV beamer onto phosphorescent painted material. The paint would react with the light and display a frame of the video. The beamer should pan steadily from left to right, just as the camera did when filming, in order to end up with a semicircular space reflecting the video, and thus bringing it back into space.

MY TEAM

WORKING PLACE is COOL THANKS TO
Kenya The Cat

She's the most recent house member. Being 10 months old, Kenya is in charge of cosy welcome greetings when back from working outside, and putting on a hell of a laser-chasing show on breaks from work.

Café au lait

Coffe with milk on a ratio 1:1, with loads of sugar. When sweetened condensed milk is available, a Café Bombon, popular beverage in Valencia (Spain), is also a nice option.

A Big Screen

Definetely one of my favourite tools of trade is my huge 27'' screen to keep an eye on the 50 opened Chrome tabs, 4 different Adobe apps, 2 text editors and sometimes even a streaming movie/show.

Don't
move!

Some people see things that are and ask —Why?
Some people dream of things that never were and ask —Why not?

Some people have to go to work and don't have time for all that.
